We’re looking for a Demand and Insights Analyst to join our Product and Insights team based in the
Chester office in Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to Demand & Insights Manager.
Job Overview : The Demand and Insights Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining a precise Demand Plan for the next 18-months rolling period and for analyzing sales data at a product level to maximize sales in each of our sales channels.
The Demand and Insights Analyst is expected to work cross-functionally with the Inventory, Allocations and Merchandising teams to proactively identify variables affecting the demand plan and category performance.
You are detail oriented, have strong analytical skills and exhibit a can-do attitude toward your assigned tasks.
You will have the opportunity to :
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for the categories assigned considering factors such as historical sales data, pricing, new product introduction and portfolio rationalization.
- Identify, periodically, major forecast variances at the product level and formulate corrective actions to ensure Forecast Accuracy and Bias goals are met.
- Analyze product demand patterns across channels and identify opportunities to enhance forecast accuracy and inventory management strategies.
- Support the Merchandising Manager in suggesting product line-up adjustments based on pricing strategy, product attributes and category performance.
This includes new product recommendations based on gap analysis.
- Conduct annual pricing and margin analysis and propose pricing strategies per category that balance customer demands and internal profit expectations.
- Work collaboratively with the Supply Planner to be pro-active in identifying supply issues.
- Create reports, presentations, and Power BI dashboards to communicate insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
You will be a good fit if you have :
- 3 years of experience in a demand planning, category analyst or related role (logistics, planning, etc.).
- Strong analytical / technical data analysis skills for forecasting and sales analysis
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel (required) and Power BI.
- Ability to do root cause analysis.
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
