Job Summary :
The Senior Analyst, Analytics Delivery and Insights will utilize analytics and problem-solving skills to articulate business needs and support the enterprise with proactive insights to enable future requirements and deliver on strategic initiatives.
This job plays an instrumental role in supporting the enterprise with the activation of BCLC's strategic priorities, the creation of executive storyboards to communicate and provide a current state assessment of BCLC's internal and external environment that will help inform the corporate strategy and identify emerging growth opportunities.
Key Accountabilities :
- Supports the development and implementation of business plans to align with the corporate strategic direction and support key initiatives for the enterprise.
- Develops and understands relevant processes, procedures, and standards to identify issues and drive program improvement.
- Develops business solutions by proactively identifying insights and areas of opportunities; design remediation actions and summarizes findings both verbally and written.
- Provides expert analysis and advice to the business on analytics and insights best practices and frameworks proposing strategic solutions and supporting BCLC's current and future state strategies.
- Provides leadership and consultative advice to technical and non-technical teams across BCLC's lines of business in the area of analytics delivery and insights, fostering an organizational culture that recognizes and promotes data governance best practices.
- Stays informed of new technologies or evolving industry practice in Business Intelligence and feeds this knowledge back to the team. Creates best practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and data visualization.
- Builds strong and trusting relationships maximizing value in interactions with stakeholders and partners.
- Fosters a data-driven culture.
- Provides mentoring and training to team members.
- Acts as a delegate for their leader as required.
Minimum Required Qualifications :
Education and Experience
A degree in computer science, math, economics, or business;4-6 years of related experience in leading the development of business intelligence solutions and working in a BI (Business Intelligence) environment (SAS, QlikSense, Cognos or equivalent tools) with working knowledge of SQL, MS Access, cloud based systems (AWS) and other Database Management too;Experience in business analytics, designing strategies and frameworks to advance analytics maturity capabilities;An equivalent combination of education and / or experience may be considered.Technical Requirements
Expert knowledge in business intelligence tools, and information technology systems and tools;Demonstrated ability to consult and communicate with senior leadership and to develop relationships with key stakeholders;Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, research, compile analysis and present relevant information to key stakeholder groups;Proven experience in influencing and helping business stakeholders to frame their business problems;Strong analytical skills and able to analyze business situations and develop creative and executable solutions;Proven experience in gathering business requirements needed for successfully developing and supporting business intelligence applications;Experienced in data collection, data wrangling, data engineering data analysis and designing reporting solutions including but not limited to dashboards, portals, predictive models, machine learning algorithms and report objects;Advanced oral and written communication skills; ability to develop technical documentation and explain complex information in an effective manner;Excellent interpersonal, time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills; able to act on own initiative, exercise sound judgment, prioritize tasks; and work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Gambling industry analytics experience is an asset;Knowledge and understanding of agile methodologies are an asset.Additional Information :
