Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor the role of the Field Service Technician is to diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment and utilities used within the Cement / Redi-Mix and Aggregate plants.
THE DAY TO DAY
- Perform all duties in a safe manner.
- Work with other Maintenance team members to accomplish tasks.
- Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, concrete batching systems, genie booms, boom trucks, forklifts, and other hand-powered tools.
- Troubleshoot and test equipment at our various locations in South Western Ontario.
- Performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on equipment.
- Weld and fabricate as required.
- Schedule maintenance along with production requirements.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and monitoring of all equipment.
- Performing and recording work orders.
- Installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 3 years of knowledge of trades related to equipment.
- Proficient in the use of all tools of trade,
- Practical working experiences are an asset, and
- Strong work ethic and highly motivated.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Minimum G2 License.
- Detailed record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Provide your own standard tools.
- Proficient with computers for record keeping.
