Join Autodesk's Applied ML team as a remote / hybrid Senior Applied Scientist. We're seeking a machine learning expert with a proven track record of developing high-quality ML models and conducting statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

You will focus on understanding customer usage and promoting Autodesk products, influencing development and strategy

You will design machine learning pipelines to enhance decision-making and collaborate with cross-functional leaders for data-driven decisions

You will report to the Applied ML Manager, mentor junior team members, and help deliver key ML features

Minimum Qualifications

MS / PhD in a quantitative field : Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Statistics / Analytics, Computer Science, or other relevant fields

4+ years of industry experience and a passion for designing, analyzing, and deploying machine learning-based solutions

Experience working with relational SQL and / or NoSQL databases

Experience working with big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Hive)

Fluency with one or more programming languages : Python, Java, Scala, etc.

Experience with data science toolkits like : pandas, Jupyter, scikit, TensorFlow, etc.

Familiarity with Machine Learning techniques, e.g., classification, clustering, regularization, optimization, dimension reduction, etc.

Experienced in writing high quality, well-documented, scalable code, with a preference for Python proficiency

Can clearly convey complex or technical concepts to a non-technical audience and presenting data effectively

Familiarity with cloud computing (AWS)

Experience with Large Language Models (RAG, Generative AI) and NLP

Experience with recommender systems

Preferred Qualifications

You possess the initiative to take on big ideas, transforming them into insights through data mining

You're familiar with MLOps and can optimize ML workflows

You've led research that resulted in publications
