Job descriptionMeet with business owners to evaluate year-end performance and provide strategic advice (including optimal salary / dividend compensation structures). Lead complex tax planning initiatives, such as corporate reorganizations and restructurings, including filing required tax elections. Serve as the primary contact for CRA audits and reviews, resolving disputes and navigating complex tax scenarios. Maintain technical excellence by processing complex financial statements and T1 / T2 returns on a daily basis. Manage a diverse client portfolio, ensuring all deadlines are met across multiple concurrent projects. Identify opportunities for expanded service offerings within your client base and contribute to firm growth initiatives. Internal : Partners, Bookkeepers, Office Manager External : Clients, Government Agencies, Financial Institution Minimum 3 years of Canadian taxation experience within a public accounting firm (CPA or WIP). CPA designation (or final-stage candidate). Expert-level daily use of CaseWare and standard Canadian tax software. Significant experience processing and reviewing T1 and T2 tax returns. Excellent client communication skills, able to explain complex tax concepts in accessible terms. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, a book of business, and contribute to business development activities. Standard 37.5-hour work week outside of tax season; extended hours or some weekends during peak periods. Extended periods at a desk managing multiple computer monitors. Intense focus and attention to detail for accuracy and compliance. Frequent verbal and written communication with team members, clients, and CRA representatives.

- Review T1 and T2 returns at a high level, ensuring compliance with rigorous quality standards before filing.
