Robertson is seeking a skilled Controller to join our client who is a publicly traded company with 1000+ employees globally within the Manufacturing / Automation space.
This role involves taking ownership of 5+ divisions across North America and being a key member of the leadership team. This is a newly formed position due to continuous growth in the business, this role can be either Remote or Hybrid paying between $150k-$200k.
Job Responsibilities :
- Ensure all divisions comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Lead the monthly close process for over seven global divisions, striving for a five-day close each month.
- Develop and refine accounting policies to ensure compliance across all divisions, including future acquisitions.
- Continuously assess and monitor the control environment, implementing necessary internal controls.
- Conduct detailed annual balance sheet reviews for each division.
- Effectively manage internal and external audit processes.
- Oversee the leasing process, including reviewing terms and conditions and ensuring accurate accounting.
- Work with segment leadership to identify opportunities and risks for proactive monitoring.
- Partner with division finance and leadership teams to address complex accounting topics, such as legal matters, bad debt, warranty, and project reserves.
- Engage with businesses to review standard costs and rates annually.
- Lead the review of technical accounting questions, coordinating with Corporate for approval.
- Participate in M&A due diligence, reviewing target company financials and accounting practices, and working with the Corporate Development team.
Experience & Qualifications :
- 8+ years of experience in the same or similar roles
- US SOX experience
- POC (Percentage of completion) experience
- Big 4 background
- CPA designation
- Experience using SAP & JDE
- Experience working in a Manufacturing / Automation industry
