Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Blockchain Engineer - this is a fully remote role and candidates can be based in N / S America.

Our first product — a fully collateralized, freely tradeable USD stablecoin — is live and growing fast. AUSD competes directly with the heavyweight stables in the market today but will differentiate materially in terms of its value proposition, resource allocation, and go-to-market strategy. The stable’s collateral is managed by VanEck, one of the world’s largest asset managers and ETF issuers (~$80B AUM).

Responsibilities :

Architect, develop and maintain all blockchain related backend services, including real-time data indexing across EVM and non-EVM blockchains

Develop a high-trust high-quality engineering culture

Collaborate closely with our CTO and CEO to directly impact product roadmap

Engage in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, debugging, and deploying with an emphasis on high quality, scalable code.

Develop and maintain our information processing pipelines. Indexing, storing and accessing custom blockchain information and queries

Develop and maintain a backend worker-queue system to engage in blockchain analytics and monitoring

Hire, Teach, and Mentor junior engineers

Qualifications :

5+ years of backend development

1+ years in blockchain focused development including : writing smart contracts, working on nodes / execution clients, or building systems which heavily interact with nodes / execution clients

Strong expertise in Typescript, Golang, and Rust

Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases, understanding of ACID properties, and knowledge of distributed database architectures

Experience interfacing with Web3 infrastructure including RPCs

Proven experience working on large projects with long-term impact on a single system or team

Experience leading the development of distributed systems

Ability to handle unexpected challenges, perhaps even those that fall outside strict backend development

Must be open to learning new technologies, methodologies, and moving between different tasks

Must be able to articulate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders

Bonus Qualifications :

Experience in high security or financial applications, especially payments
