Reporting to the Director, Compensation, North & Central America, this position supports the development and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies, and procedures and supports the Talent & Culture team in their administration. They will leverage data analysis skills to provide insight, prepare reports and contribute to the execution of compensation initiatives.
Summary of Responsibilities :
Participates and coordinates participation in external compensation surveys for Hotel and Corporate based positions - compiles, analyzes and evaluates survey data, and provides results and data-driven recommendations.
Supports and executes the Hotel Short Term Incentive Plan (STIP) annual cycle including preparation of relevant documents & worksheets plan communications and payout administration in collaboration with T&C Operations leaders.
Prepares summaries and analysis to supports leadership and Talent & Culture partners on compensation policies and programs including job evaluation, salary recommendations, salary / wage budgeting, and policy interpretation.
Monitors competitive trends and best practices in compensation and analyzes, recommends, and delivers improvements to programs, structure and processes.
Support the administration of the STIP for support functions by calculating the estimated accrual for Corporate Finance and administers the final award calculation and payout process.
Provides guidance and consultative support for the Corporate annual merit process.
Maintains current knowledge of regulations and laws governing compensation administration in North America.
Supports the Talent & Culture team by performing ad hoc reporting and general analytics and in developing excel-based analytical and reporting tools.
Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
University / college degree or diploma in finance, accounting, management, HR or equivalent.
2 - 5 years experience in compensation or financial analysis in multinational environment
Advanced proficiency in Excel is required, experience in HRMS compensation applications is desirable.
Proven analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated ability to provide high-level summaries for management decision-making.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to express compensation concepts, terms and related information in a succinct, understandable and professional manner.
Good knowledge and understanding of compensation philosophies, policies and practices.
Proven ability to manage projects, to multitask, and to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and meet timelines.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
