Position : Cloud Engineer (GCP Certified)
Location : Toronto, ON.
The Certified GCP Engineer / Architect is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using GCP and AWS.
This role involves transforming business needs into practical cloud solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and alignment with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and build resilient, secure cloud solutions on GCP and AWS, tailored to business needs and integrating smoothly with existing infrastructure.
- Oversee cloud solution deployment, guide technical teams, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical needs, establish cloud adoption roadmaps, and optimize the use of GCP and AWS services.
- Regularly monitor, optimize, and automate cloud resources to enhance cost-effectiveness, performance, and security.
- Maintain comprehensive records of architecture decisions and provide regular performance and cost reports.
- Educate and support teams on cloud technologies and best practices, staying updated on the latest GCP / AWS innovations.
What We’re Looking For :
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification required.
- 3-5 years in cloud architecture, including 2+ years with GCP; experience with secure, scalable cloud solutions.
- Proficiency in GCP (e.g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage), networking, IaC tools (e.g., Terraform), and DevOps practices.
- Preferred Qualifications : Multi-cloud experience, cost management knowledge, and additional GCP certifications (e.g., Network or Security).
