Position Title : Senior Actuarial Production Associate

Reports To : Director, Inforce and Policy Tax

Department : Individual Financial Reporting

Term : Permanent Full-Time

Work Arrangements : This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month.

You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

The Opportunity : Equitable is growing! We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Actuarial Production Associate to join our Individual Actuarial Production team! Our new team member should have excellent analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, a strong process improvement mindset and continually seek out ways to improve efficiency and processes.

In this role, you will join a team that supports our Individual Life Operations team with handling policyholder requests, oversees Individual Life policyholder taxation and maintains the integrity of policyholder tax administration systems and inforce illustration systems.

What you will be doing :

• Provide policyholder tax related subject matter expertise
• Prepare policyholder tax related communications for both internal and external clients
• Assist with year-end tax reporting
• Determine and initiate appropriate actions on issues related to both internal and client generated requests for inforce policies
• Maintain the integrity of administration systems, operational processes and procedures, and inforce illustration systems with respect to policyholder tax calculations and legislation for all Individual Life and Health products
• Review the processes that the Individual Actuarial Production team performs
• Recommend and implement improvements to the processes

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation, collaboration and decision-making skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including VBA
• Solid knowledge of SQL
• Solid knowledge of a coding language ( Python, C, C++)
• Focus on providing excellent service to internal and external clients
• Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks and deadlines for various stakeholders (internal and external)
• Knowledge of individual life and health products is an asset
• Knowledge of Automation Suite Tools ( Pyautogui, Selenium) is an asset
• An actuarial designation ( ASA or ACIA) is an asset (no exam support will be provided)
