Job Description
I. Job Summary
As a member of the Human Resources Organization, the Director will be responsible for providing strategic people solutions and guidance to leaders and business segments. The HR Director will develop, guide, and execute initiatives in culture, change management, strategic coaching, talent assessment and development, succession, and performance management to foster high performance within a diverse workforce in a fast-paced enterprise.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coach and advise leaders across functions to create a high-performance culture through talent and performance management and leadership development.
- Identify and implement HR solutions that support business objectives.
- Participate as a key member of the leadership team, providing integrated talent management, workforce planning, and organizational structure solutions.
- Collaborate with Centers of Expertise to develop HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead or participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Manage and develop the HR team, including coaching and performance management.
- Propose organizational and HR solutions based on critical business analyses.
- Create impactful written and oral reports for senior leadership.
- Deliver measurable HR solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Advise management on employment law compliance and ensure local legal adherence.
- Lead organizational change initiatives supporting WM’s strategic framework.
- Identify and adapt to changing work demands through innovative ideas.
- Partner with the HR team to improve processes and initiate new programs.
- Implement talent management strategies, including succession planning and employee development programs.
- Develop and oversee policies for employee relations, diversity & inclusion, harassment prevention, and career development.
- Provide expertise, coaching, and guidance within the HR discipline.
- Continuously improve HR programs, policies, and practices.
- Lead initiatives that promote WM’s values and commitments.
