Our client in Kitchener, is looking for a Production Manager to join the team in a full-time permanent role!
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in production / plant management in a manufacturing and solid leadership skills!

Job Responsibilities :
- Develop positive attitudes and teamwork
- Train operators that are running automatic machines to perform complete quality inspection and documentation
- Improve quality by ensuring daily quality inspections are completed at beginning and end of shift with quality technician and inspectors
- Training of Shift Leaders, Production employees, Process / Tool Room, Set-up, and Maintenance
- Support and develop company objectives of Safety, Quality and Productivity
- Continual improvement within quality department
- Set daily priorities and develop an efficient daily plan
- Ensure a safe working environment by providing staff with the resources to complete their work safely and efficiently
- Understand and train staff on the ISO program
- Coordinating production in order of priorities and improving plant efficiency
- Develop a training and mentoring program
- Work with our team to develop KanBan system for all raw and finished goods including a plan to manage material overflow
- Implement use of standard process sheets and standardized shift performance reporting
- Lead, implement, and document continuous improvement solutions identified from performance monitoring.
- Participate in Monthly Non-Conformance and Defect Tracking Meetings
- Participate with Product Development Group as part of new project launch
- Monitor daily shift performance report to investigate output anomalies
Required Skills :
- 3-5+ years experience in production management, preferably in injection molding
- Excellent supervision and leadership skills
- Superior communications skills with the ability to motivate staff to be productive
- Set-up and processing capabilities
- Ability to manage staff, set priorities, assign tasks efficiently, meet production goals
- Experience reporting production results.
