University Preparation (UP) provides a full range of core high school courses that are prerequisites for college or university programs, skills‑training programs, apprenticeship training or technical institutes. These courses are offered in an exciting university environment with quality instruction and individualized attention to help ensure success.
Position Overview
We are seeking contract faculty members (sessional instructors) in the Department of University Preparation to teach science courses and / or social studies courses. Possible in‑person courses include SOST 20-1 (14 : 00-15 : 20), CHEM 020 (08 : 00-09 : 20), CHEM 030 (14 : 00-15 : 20), SCIE 010 (09 : 30-10 : 50), SCIE 030 (08 : 00-09 : 20), and BIOL 020 (09 : 30-10 : 50).
Candidates will teach one or more courses from January 5, 2026 until the end of term (final exams the week of April 13, 2026).
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans for high school science and social studies courses.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with department colleagues to maintain curriculum standards.
- Support adult learners in preparing for university programs.
