Indigenous Partnerships &Engagement works within the department of Corporate and Continuing Education tobring educational training opportunities to First Nation, Metis, and InuitNations throughout Canada.
We are looking for a qualifiedinstructor to teach our “Small Engine Repair” course. This course is designedfor those with an interest in small engine repair, mechanics or maintainingequipment. We are looking for an expert contract instructor to educate hobbyistslooking to improve their skills and knowledge. The course relates to a widerange of small engines including lawn mowers, snowmobiles, and garden tractors.We focus on small engine design, operation, service & maintenancetechniques, repair, and troubleshooting. Graduatesof this course will be able to identify engine components and delve into theprinciples of operation for both two- and four-stroke cycle engines. With theskills gained in this course, students will be able to employ shop safetypractices, identify and use required hand tools and measuring tools, and applysystematic approaches to basic engine troubleshooting.
