Position Overview:
As our Project Cost Analyst Intermediate you will independently administer recurring project timekeeping, payroll, costing, purchase order, accrual, and customer invoice support activities. The role applies customer and EPSCA requirements to reconcile project data, resolve routine exceptions, and maintain accurate cost and sell information.

Your Day to Day as our Project Cost Analyst Intermediate

Project Timekeeping and Payroll Administration

  • Perform project setup in TimeTracker (timesheet software) and SharePoint.
  • Import staff, subcontractor, and trades timesheets into TimeTracker and maintain crew timesheet setup and updates.
  • Execute payroll activities, including trades travel in and out calculations, shift premiums, and supervisor premiums.
  • Apply working EPSCA knowledge to routine timekeeping and payroll calculations and escalate interpretation issues.

Project Cost and Purchase Order Control

  • Prepare cost reports and update vendor trackers.
  • Set up purchase orders in TimeTracker and prepare SharePoint purchase order increase requests.
  • Prepare accrual information and validate subcontractor invoices against cost reports and purchase order information.
  • Investigate routine variances and coordinate corrections with Project Controls, Project Accounting, Procurement, or site stakeholders.

Customer Invoice Package Preparation

  • Prepare invoice packages including sell summaries, timesheet support, and ONCORE inputs where applicable.
  • Reconcile customer time clock information and resolve routine discrepancies before package completion.
  • Update team metrics and maintain standard operating procedures for assigned processes.
  • Maintain audit ready support for time, cost, sell, and invoice transactions.

Security Clearance:

This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to clear the Canadian Security Intelligence Service government security assessment.
  • Diploma or degree in business administration, accounting, finance, project management, or a related discipline is desirable. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills with the ability to meet recurring payroll, costing, and invoicing deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of general project accounting practices and Canada and Ontario labour requirements relevant to the work.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant project costing, timekeeping, payroll, invoicing, project accounting, or commercial administration experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel capability and demonstrated ability to work independently across recurring project cycles.
  • Working knowledge of Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate or equivalent, internal and customer timekeeping systems/processes, SAP and SharePoint.
  • Working knowledge of EPSCA requirements applicable to time, travel, premiums, and payroll calculations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid security clearance for Bruce Power and Ontario Power Generation sites is desirable.
  • Experience with Coreworx ONCORE, OPG systems, SAP navigation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Experience preparing customer invoice support, accruals, purchase order changes, and project cost reports.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) at the start of employment is expected to be between $61,000 and $77,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
