Job description
Adecco is partnering with a growing organization to recruit an experienced Director, People & Engagement . This is a hands-on HR leadership role responsible for leading people operations across multiple business units in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
In this position you will shape an exceptional employee experience while building scalable, compliant, and values-driven people programs. Balancing strategic leadership with operational execution, this role will drive process excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and enable sustainable organizational growth through strong people practices.
  • Pay Rate: up to $105,000/year
  • Location: Calgary, AB
  • Shift: Monday to Friday
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Compliance
  • Partner with Shared Services to ensure compliance with provincial and federal employment regulations
  • Lead comprehensive Total Rewards reviews across all locations
  • Oversee HR governance, audits, and consistent policy application
Systems, Data & Process Excellence
  • Oversee HRIS, payroll, and Workday optimization, including system integrations and automation
  • Lead system audits and process reviews to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Develop and maintain data-driven dashboards to track HR KPIs and workforce metrics
Employee Relations & Leadership
  • Lead the resolution of complex employee relations matters with professionalism, consistency, and legal compliance
  • Provide guidance and support to leaders on people practices, policies, and engagement strategies
  • Champion a people-first culture that aligns with organizational values
Strategic People Leadership
  • Drive HR transformation initiatives and scalable people programs
  • Support organizational growth across multi-site or seasonal operations
  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a dynamic environment
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • MBA considered a strong asset
  • CHRP or equivalent HR designation preferred
  • 6-10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including HR operations, compliance, and systems transformation
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing Workday
  • Proven success leading HR transformation and scaling people operations in multi-site or seasonal organizations
  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
  • Experience in hospitality, adventure tourism, or seasonal workforce environments is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle required due to travel
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
