Job Title: AM Shift Production Assembler
Job Description
The AM Shift Production Assembler plays a key role in building high‑quality medical devices on a fast‑paced production line. You will rotate through multiple assembly stations, follow detailed written instructions in English, and use small hand tools to assemble precise components. This role also includes periodic work in a cleanroom environment, where you will perform labeling, packaging, and related tasks while maintaining strict cleanliness and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a production team to complete daily production orders on a fast‑paced assembly line.
- Rotate through approximately 13 assembly stations, learning and performing each station’s tasks accurately and efficiently over a 2–3 month training period.
- Follow detailed written English work instructions to assemble units using small hand tools such as crimpers, screwdrivers, and tweezers.
- Assemble small mechanical and electronic components, including handling small parts with precision and care.
- Maintain consistent line speed and productivity to avoid bottlenecks and ensure continuous product flow.
- Work both alongside team members and independently at an assigned station, depending on production needs.
- Perform cleanroom duties as required, including labeling products, sealing packaging pouches, and completing other cleanroom tasks while standing for the full shift.
- Wear appropriate cleanroom attire and follow all cleanroom protocols, including restrictions on cosmetics, jewelry, and personal items.
- Use basic computer systems to access instructions, record information, or complete simple production‑related tasks.
- Inspect components and finished products visually and by touch to identify defects or issues and escalate concerns as needed.
- Assist with packaging and labeling of finished products according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Lift and move materials or boxes up to 30 lbs as needed (not repetitively), following safe lifting practices.
- Adhere strictly to all safety rules, quality standards, and production procedures, including no eating, drinking, or phone use on the production line.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient work area by following housekeeping and 5S practices.
- Collaborate with a diverse team, communicate clearly with coworkers and leads, and support a positive, focused team culture.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of recent experience in a similar production or assembly environment performing comparable tasks.
- Proficiency using small basic hand tools such as crimpers, screwdrivers, and tweezers for assembly work.
- Ability to work accurately with small pieces and parts during mechanical or electronic assembly.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift while performing repetitive tasks on the production line or in the cleanroom.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs on an occasional basis, following safe handling practices.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate simple software or interfaces as part of production processes.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and reading, to understand and follow written instructions and communicate with the team.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced, continuous production environment where line speed and throughput are critical.
- Willingness and ability to work in a cleanroom environment on a rotating basis and comply with all cleanroom requirements and restrictions.
- High attention to detail and quality, with the ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for the AM shift (7:00 . – 3:30 .
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Engineering background or education, especially related to mechanical or electronic systems, is a plus.
- Soldering experience, including the ability to read soldering instructions and match numbers to wires and components, is an asset.
- PCB (printed circuit board) assembly experience in a highly regulated or quality‑controlled environment is highly desirable.
- Experience with crimping, PCB work, soldering, testing, mechanical assembly, labeling, packaging, inspection, and general production is beneficial.
- Proven ability to learn new tasks quickly and adapt to different stations on the line.
- Demonstrated positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to support team goals.

Work Environment
You will work in a clean, modern production facility with approximately 60 team members on the production floor. The role is on the AM shift from 7:00 . to 3:30 . The environment is fast‑paced and team‑oriented, with a strong focus on quality and adherence to procedures. You will regularly use small hand tools such as crimpers, screwdrivers, tweezers, and other basic assembly tools, and may handle mechanical and electronic components, including PCBs. On a rotating basis, you will work in a cleanroom where strict cleanliness standards apply. In the cleanroom, you will stand for the full shift while labeling products, sealing packaging pouches, and performing other tasks, and you will be provided with a heavy jacket when needed. The dress code is casual; however, when assigned to the cleanroom, cosmetics such as makeup, mascara, eyeliner, hair products, aftershaves, perfumes, fingernail polish, and artificial nails are not permitted, and all jewelry including earrings, rings, bracelets, and watches must be removed. Because cleanroom work can occur at any time, these restrictions apply during all shifts. Eating and drinking are not allowed on the production line, and phones, videos, and pictures are not permitted in production areas.
