Business Analyst

Ideal Start : Immediate

Contract Duration : 12 months

Work Location : Edmonton

Description of Work :

The selected Business Analyst will support a Payments Modernization application for our clients’ Customer Experience business unit. The Business Analyst will work with the technical and non technical stakeholders to serve as a liaison to champion API architecture, ISO payment messages- wire payments, while optimizing the UX / UI experience.

Responsibilities :

Gather requirements and create processes by working closely with the business and technical teams
Translate business needs into technical requirement specifications
Ensure that requirements are clearly, accurately and thoroughly documented and understood for both system changes and / or process changes and that there is value and consistency added to the user and customer experience
Translate requirements into functional / non-functional specifications including but not limited to : web, API, web services, application and system design
Document process flows for current / proposed processed, workflows, and data flows

Required Skills and Experience :

University degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field

A minimum of 5 years experience as a Business Analyst

Experience supporting application driven projects. The selected Business Analyst must be knowledgeable with API, web services, and system design

The ability to communicate complex information and concepts to a variety of audiences, including senior leaders to support decision making

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts and team members

Enthusiastic team player with a proven record of success

Experience in retail, business and financial services digital experience an asset

Working knowledge of SAP and / or core banking systems is an asset
