Vice President, Enterprise Risk About the Company A regulated credit union offering financial services and enterprise-wide risk management. Industry Banking Type Non Profit About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President, Enterprise Risk to join their team. This senior leadership role is pivotal in providing independent oversight of the organization's enterprise-wide risk management framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and evolving the ERM framework, overseeing various risk areas including operational, regulatory, compliance, AML, and financial risk, and developing and maintaining the organization's risk appetite framework, policies, and governance practices. A key aspect of the role is to provide independent second-line oversight, monitor emerging risks, and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place. The VP will also be involved in preparing and presenting risk reports and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board, as well as supporting regulatory examinations and audits. Applicants for the Vice President, Enterprise Risk position at the company should have significant senior-level experience in enterprise risk, governance, compliance, AML, audit, or related risk functions within a regulated financial services environment. Experience in the credit union or broader banking sector is particularly valuable. The role requires a candidate who can operate effectively at both strategic and hands-on levels, capable of advising executives and the Board while also being detail-oriented in risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, reporting, and controls. The ideal candidate will be adept at building a strong risk culture, developing risk metrics, and leading the risk function to ensure that appropriate policies, processes, and controls are maintained.
