Job description

We are currently hiring a Quality Lab Technician for a growing manufacturing company in Aurora. This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity offering steady daytime hours with long-term growth potential.

Shift Details

· Primarily Days: 7:00AM–3:00PM or 8:00AM–4:00PM

· Candidates must be flexible to cover vacations on afternoon or night shifts when required.

Pay Rate

· $25.00 per hour

Position Summary

The Laboratory Technician reports directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and plays a key role in maintaining quality standards, laboratory testing, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Department.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform required laboratory tests for incoming, in-process, and outgoing products according to Quality Control Plans

· Maintain records of inspections, samples, technical data sheets, and SDS documentation

· Support reject raw material processes and supplier claims with the QA Supervisor

· Handle non-conforming products following internal hold procedures

· Maintain in-house customer specifications and quality requirements

· Support Operations, Production Control, Customer Service, and Sales departments

· Maintain Quality Management Systems through audits and verifications

· Act as a trainer and support resource within the Quality Team

· Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across the department

· Provide additional

support to the QA Supervisor and QA Manager as required

Qualifications

· Minimum 1 year of experience in a flexible packaging or manufacturing environment preferred

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

· Above-average math and computer skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Familiarity with AIB and IFS PACsecure standards is considered an asset

· Knowledge of laboratory testing methods and continuous improvement initiatives preferred

· Ability to work independently and adapt to changing production needs
