Job Responsibilities

You will be placed in cutting-edge projects within the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Group, where your project(s) bring the worlds of manufacturing and data together to drive intelligence-based transformation to one of Canada's largest sectors. Some skills / tools you will use include :

Python libraries like NumPy, pandas, Matplotlib, SciPy, TensorFlow
Databases (MongoDB)
Pattern recognition and sound classification algorithms and their implementation
Good handle on Statistics and Calculus

Required Qualifications

Currently registered in, and returning to a post-secondary Engineering, Math, or related program

Must be eligible for Student Work Placement Program (SWPP) wage subsidy (Student is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act .)

Experience in research and analysis of data

Unsatiable curiosity about how things work and what needs to be done

Strong communication & presentation skills

Ability to conduct independent projects and work in a team

Organizational skills, time management skills, attention to detail

Strong leadership skills, excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills

Fluent in Microsoft 365

This is a fully in-person role

80% Office Work

20% Plant Floor Testing (PPE Required see health and safety)

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs

Must be able to work with push-pull forces of up to 50 lbs
