Unit Summary
Wards EF4 are in-patient surgical units consisting of surgical patients (Colorectal, Hepatobiliary, Plastics, Urology, General Surgery and Oncology). E4 can accommodate 3 patients in an Observational Room with remote telemetry and SPO2 capabilities for post operative monitoring of complex issues. The care on both units is provided utilizing a multidisciplinary approach dedicated to the principles of patient and family-centered care.
Position Summary
The Physiotherapist functions as an integral member of the inter-professional healthcare team at Juravinski Hospital. They provide comprehensive assessment; treatment planning; intervention services to patients, and working collaboratively with team members, they apply clinical expertise to maximize patients' functional independence, facilitate recovery, and support safe discharge and community reintegration.
Schedule Work Hours
8-4 - Days, weekends and statutory holidays
This position is temporary until March 2027.
Qualifications
1. Current Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
2. Current knowledge and experience in the clinical management of a post-operative patient population, including major gastroenterology surgical patients
3. Demonstrated excellence in communication, interpersonal, teamwork and problem-solving
4. Demonstrated willingness to gain knowledge and acquire skills to develop a higher level of professional expertise
