Title: ITAD Technician
Location: Brampton, ON (L6T 5G5) – On-Site
Shift time: 3:00pm – 11:30pm, Monday - Friday
Position Status: Permanent, Full-time

Position Summary
The ITAD Technician registers, discovers, and evaluates electronic equipment (PC’s, laptops, printers, monitors, etc.) and performs inventory control including Approved Certified Data Destruction (CDD) of laptops, oversize equipment, PC’s, loose drives, networking gear, and telecom equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Capturing make, model and serial number of equipment
- Removal of asset tag labels and / or customer specific stickers from equipment
- Evaluate/Assess functionality of electronic components using provided equipment/software
- Identify equipment in accordance with company policy and procedures
- Manipulating BIOS settings
- Troubleshooting issues with desktops, laptops, servers and network gear
- Factory resets on mobile devices and network equipment building, repairing, refurbishing and configuring IT assets such as desktops, laptops and servers
- Capturing equipment control ID to log and operation of Hard Drive Shredding equipment during the process of Hard Drive Destruction
- Unbox, sort, track, and manage equipment inventory, including cycle counts, as well as picking and packing items for outbound orders
- Operate cardboard baler, pallet wrapper, hard drive shredder, and power pallet jack after completing required training as needed by operational requirements
- Ensure to work with / use security measures, procedures, and devices as required
- Participate in training as required and apply knowledge gained through training on the job
Qualifications
- Preference is a computer programming diploma or degree (or something IT/electronic focused).
- 1-3 years of experience working hands-on with electronic hardware in a warehouse setting
- Order picking, data entry, inventory management, and forklift/reach truck experience is preferred
Job Knowledge and Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Job specific training in identification, classification of materials and procedure of operations
- Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of computer components and how they work
