Job description

Looking for a role that offers the perfect mix of hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and strategic service management? Our client is a high-growth, industry-leading industrial equipment provider in Vancouver seeking a dynamic Technical Service Advisor/Technician to help shape the future of their operations.

This is not a behind-the-desk role—you will be an active member of a national service team, working alongside technicians to drive customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Hands-on Expertise: Serve as the go-to technical resource for electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment repairs.

  • Operational Strategy: Manage the end-to-end service lifecycle, from diagnostic troubleshooting and parts procurement through to final invoicing and work order closure.

  • Client Relations: Communicate directly with equipment owners for authorizations and maintain strong business relationships with current and prospective customers.

  • Leadership & Growth: Take responsibility for monthly and annual operational KPIs, with a seat at the decision-making table to help influence the company's direction.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Management Experience: 3+ years of experience in a service management or supervisory role, paired with a post-secondary diploma or degree.

  • Technical Aptitude: Strong skills inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing complex faults in heavy mechanical components, hydraulic systems, and electronics.

  • Business Acumen: An organized, strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize tasks and utilize technical manuals effectively.

  • Software Savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office, with ERP experience (SAP proficiency is a major asset).

  • Licensing: A valid driver’s license (a commercial or heavy vehicle license class is an asset).

Why You’ll Love It Here

Beyond a competitive salary, they offer a company-sponsored pension matching program, a complete benefits package, and genuine career advancement opportunities. Extensive hands-on equipment and OEM training will be provided to ensure your success.
