Print Production & Mailroom Operator


Step into a dynamic and engaging environment where no two days are the same. Combining customer interaction, print services, and operational support, this opportunity offers a variety of responsibilities and the chance to contribute to the smooth delivery of essential business services.


What is in it for you:


• Hourly salary of $21.

• 12-month contract of 37.5 hours per week.

• Weekday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

• On-site work in a dynamic environment.


Responsibilities:


General responsibilities


• Ensure customer issues and escalations are resolved or further escalated as appropriate.

• Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure accuracy and required output meets established standards.

• Adhere to all safety procedures.

• Perform backfill duties for absent coworkers.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

• Order and replenish consumables, forms inventory, and other supply items as required.


Print responsibilities


• Process job requests received through email, phone, or in person.

• Operate color, black-and-white print, and finishing equipment.

• Schedule print work to meet deadlines and adjust priorities as required.

• Communicate with customers regarding print-related issues.

• Maintain equipment in working condition by arranging service and replacing toner and other consumables.

• Maintain an organized and tidy print shop.

• Develop knowledge of print production to recommend appropriate production methods.

• Track print work information as required.


Mail responsibilities


• Sort incoming mail.

• Distribute mail to appropriate recipients or departments through mail runs and as required.

• Maintain records of incoming mail and courier activity.

• Ensure delivery of outgoing mail to couriers and the post office.

• Maintain adequate mailroom supplies.

• Check postal rates and weigh outgoing mail.

• Process outgoing courier shipments.

• Arrange local courier services for package deliveries.

• Manage and organize office supplies.


What you will need to succeed:


Technical skills


• Strong computer skills.

• Technical aptitude and knowledge of printing terminology.


Professional skills


• Willingness to learn and be part of a team.

• Ability to adapt and learn new procedures.

• Dependable and able to take ownership of action items through completion.

• Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.


Physical requirements


• Ability to stand and sit throughout the workday.

• Ability to carry up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to walk between buildings.
