The Opportunity
We are seeking top actuarial talent to join our dynamic and high-performing Commercial P&C Pricing team.
The Commercial P&C Pricing team is dedicated to supporting the pricing and profitability of Aviva’s Commercial P&C insurance portfolio. Through rigorous actuarial analyses and data-driven insights across Property and Casualty products, we empower the business leaders to make informed decisions that drive financial performance and sustainable growth.
What you’ll do:
Support the semi-annual P&C rate indications across regions and industry segments, generate actionable insights, and present findings to senior business leaders to support decision-making and guide pricing strategy.
Support the development of pricing proposals that ensure rate adequacy and alignment with strategic business objectives, and collaborate with underwriting to refine risk segmentation and support profitable growth.
Deliver rate, value and loss ratio projections to support the annual business planning process.
Support pricing reviews for various coverages and segments.
Maintain and enhance SAS procedures. Identify and resolve data issues
Support technical development of pricing tools.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
1+ years of P&C actuarial experience preferred (including internships).
Completion of 2 or more SOA/CAS exams.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Effectively communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
What makes you stand out:
Proficiency in programming; experience in SAS, and VBA.
What you’ll get:
The salary band for this position ranges from $70,000 to $95,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
