Summer Temporary:
- Full time Students (must provide proof of enrollment)

The ideal candidate will be flexible, dependable, committed to working safely, have a strong work ethic, quality conscience, and have the desire & ability to work in a fast paced.
Duties:
- The L&D Intern will support the department in creating learning resources using various internal tools and technologies
- The candidate will be exposed to Learning management System- Learn, Use of AR/XR Technology, Use of HoloLens, Photoshop Systems within the manufacturing environment
- Other duties related to the job: event and class management, voice over for the learning resources, editing documents and technical documentation
- Be involved in new hire orientation in Ontario and recommend any changes to make the new hire experience better
- Work with area Technical Trainers to enhance existing SWPs and OPLs and other Visual Training Aids and update them to Smurfit Westrock brand requirement
- Work with other ALDs in the region and gather their slides and create a deck for the North Atlantic TTs Call
- Build and Review Surveys and their results
- Join North Atlantic L&D calls, take notes and suggest any observations made during the call. Share the minutes of the meeting
- Participate in any L&D corporate or local programs conducted in the area. Would be involved in observing the session, capturing the leaner sentiments and, and making all necessary arrangements for the program. (Example: Regional Tech Trainer Symposium in the area in June 2025)
- Regional document repository build- Review existing PowerPoint decks, edit them to fit company brand requirements and update the document library log appropriately
- Conduct content gap analysis based on existing content available and our annual goals
- May be involved in other L&D initiates that are in the works now and have not been finalized yet.
Requirements:
- Excellent eye for detail
- Able to work in an environment where there could be a high degree of variation, noise and dust
- Adept in using Technology
- Experience in video editing/ creating reels/ short fun videos etc
- Fluent in English and French
- Technical documentation and editing
- Excellent team worker
- Excellent attendance is required to fulfill operational needs
