About the Role:

The Inside Sales Representative plays a critical role in driving revenue growth by managing and expanding customer relationships primarily through remote communication channels. This position focuses on understanding customer needs, presenting tailored solutions, and closing sales within assigned territories while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The role requires effective use of CRM systems to track interactions, manage leads, and forecast sales opportunities accurately. The Inside Sales Representative collaborates closely with outside sales teams and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience and to maximize sales potential. Ultimately, this role contributes to the company’s market presence and profitability by consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in inside sales or a related sales role.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and tools, such as Salesforce.com.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and other sales-related applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with outside sales or field sales to complement inside sales activities.
  • Knowledge of sales territory management and strategic planning.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management best practices.
  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and French, to support diverse customer bases in Canada.
  • Electrical Knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with prospective and existing customers via phone, email, and CRM platforms to identify needs and present appropriate products or services.
  • Manage and update customer information and sales activities within CRM software to ensure accurate and timely data.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of assigned sales territories and market trends to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with outside sales teams and internal departments to coordinate efforts and optimize customer satisfaction.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism.

Skills:

The required skills such as inside sales expertise and proficiency with CRM software are essential for managing customer interactions and tracking sales progress effectively on a daily basis. Strong computer skills enable the representative to navigate multiple software platforms, ensuring efficient communication and data management. Familiarity with sales territory concepts helps in identifying and prioritizing potential clients within specific geographic or market segments. Experience with outside sales complements inside sales efforts by providing a broader understanding of customer needs and market dynamics. Working in a fast-paced environment demands adaptability, time management, and the ability to maintain focus on sales goals while delivering excellent customer service.
