We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) for our bovine practice, who will join a team made up of bovine practitioners and nutritionists across our multiple locations. You will help transform bovine healthcare as our lead field services RVT. Working across Southern Alberta (Lethbridge / Taber / Brooks), you'll conduct on-farm health programs, lead herd health initiatives, and build strong producer relationships. This role offers increasing autonomy and the opportunity to shape modern cattle health practices.
What you'll do :
As a RVT, you will play an essential role in assisting veterinarians in all aspects of bovine medicine, including feedlot, cow-calf, and dairy productions. Your technical expertise and dedication to animal care will be crucial to the success of our veterinary services and the health of our clients' herds. Our RVTs are a highly valued and integral part of our team. They play a critical role in taking on a variety of essential responsibilities that directly contribute to the quality of care we provide to our patients and the smooth operation of our facility.
- Work with clients on farms for data recording, processing, and various technical duties.
- In-clinic duties which include reporting, prescription management, and reception
- Work on a rotating schedule to dispense medications, medical supplies, and veterinary products in the warehouse facility, ensuring accurate inventory management and timely fulfillment of orders
- Cow-Calf, Dairy, and Feedlot RVT services
