The accounts receivable Specialist is responsible for ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of payments received and posted in our systems, implementing company policy on overdue accounts on a timely basis.Essential Functions:Post payments, collect payments and process credit card paymentsPrepare bank depositReconcile customer accounts and make follow-up calls to resolve payment issuesRespond to account balance and payment inquiries by customersEnsure customer accounts are accurate and up to dateMonitoring customer's account balance and releasing ordersFollow up of overdue accountsCreate spreadsheets, and use software to prepare reports and AR documentsDistribute account statements to clientsPerform credit checks in connection with setting up new accountsResolve payment issues without delay to prevent any misrepresentationSecondary Functions:Assist with month-end and year-end closing Special projects as assignedBack up other members of the department
