We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant who thrives in a full-time, office-based environment and is eager to build a strong foundation in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Whether you’re an early-career professional or a recent graduate ready to launch your accounting career, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across key financial functions while working alongside supportive and experienced colleagues.

In this role, you’ll be exposed to all aspects of the accounting cycle, from month-end close and reconciliations to payroll support and revenue recognition, giving you the opportunity to grow your technical skills and business acumen. If you’re someone who takes initiative, enjoys problem-solving, and is excited to contribute to continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.

This position is full-time, in-person at our office located on the beautiful inner harbour in Victoria, BC.

What you will do

  • Participate in the month-end close with the accounting team
  • Process accounts payable invoices and payments
  • Complete revenue recognition and customer invoicing
  • Review and assist in employee payroll processing
  • Assist in the execution of the month-end close, account reconciliations, and maintenance of journal entry logs
  • Prepare monthly assigned account reconciliations. Ensure that all accounting departmental records are accurate and well-organized
  • Initiate recommendations for improvement and efficiencies
  • Provide analysis as requested
  • Assist in other projects as assigned

Qualities & experience you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-3 years of related experience, preferably in tax preparation, audit preparation, and analysis
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, flexibility, and proactiveness
  • "Roll-up sleeves" approach in order to accomplish all necessary tasks
  • Commitment to excellence, impeccable ethical standards, and integrity
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

Compensation: $50,000-$60,000

Compensation will be determined by factors including knowledge and skills, role-specific qualifications, market location, and experience
