Job descriptionReports to : Manager, Cloud Ops & Security Location : Stouffville, ON Salary : $75,000 - $85,000 Execute new software installations at customer sites and remote environments Perform system upgrades and version migrations with minimal downtime Conduct database migrations, schema updates, and ensure data integrity throughout the process Deploy containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms Configure software to meet specific customer requirements and environments Validate deployments through comprehensive testing and verification procedures Coordinate deployment schedules with customer stakeholders and IT teams Provide technical guidance and support to customers during deployment activities Conduct pre-deployment environment assessments and readiness checks Deliver post-deployment training and knowledge transfer to customer teams Troubleshoot deployment issues and provide timely resolution Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in customer-facing software deployment or field engineering Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Docker Compose) Working knowledge of Git version control and branching strategies Understanding of SDLC frameworks (Agile, DevOps, CI / CD concepts) Experience with basic automation tools and configuration management Knowledge of various operating systems (Windows Server, Linux distributions) Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and security protocols Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid deployments Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure Professional demeanor and ability to represent the company effectively Strong documentation and technical writing skills Ability to adapt to diverse customer environments and requirements Continuous learning mindset to stay current with deployment technologies Experience with automation frameworks (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) Knowledge of CI / CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms Background in database administration or data engineering Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools Industry-specific knowledge relevant to our customer base ITIL or project management certification>
