The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Quality Engineering Leader to head our core control plane, Prism Central QA team. As the Manager of Quality Engineering, you will drive the quality strategy for our centralized management platform, which governs the entire hybrid cloud infrastructure stack. This is a high-visibility role where you will own the validation strategy for Nutanix’s core control plane, manage a high-performing team of engineers, and lead the adoption of Generative AI into our quality engineering lifecycle. If you are a technical leader who thrives on complex distributed systems and wants to influence the growth of a key engineering hub, this is your next challenge.About the Team The Prism QA team is a global group of highly skilled MTS and SMTS engineers dedicated to ensuring the reliability of Nutanix’s primary management interface. We foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and ownership. This role is based in our Vancouver site, where you will partner closely with product management and engineering leaders across the organization.Nutanix Vancouver: Nutanix is expanding its engineering presence in Vancouver as part of a long-term commitment to building strong infrastructure and platform teams.   • Lead and mentor a global team of Quality Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
  • Define and execute the quality vision for complex product areas, including Infrastructure Management and Microservices Platforms.
  • Orchestrate multiple parallel release trains, managing major quarterly releases alongside critical customer fixes.
  • Champion the adoption of AI/ML tools, such as AI Triage for failure analysis and LLM-based test plan generation.
  • Partner cross-functionally with development and product teams to integrate "Shift Left" testing into Prism pipelines.
What You Will Bring
  • 10 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering.
  • 2 years of experience in a management or technical leadership role.
  • Deep technical expertise in Distributed Systems, Virtualization (AHV/VMware), and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker).
  • Proven ability to build or manage scalable automation frameworks using Python.
  • Experience managing complex release dependencies and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/CircleCI).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-quality software under tight deadlines.

Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.Pay Transparency - Role Location The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between CAD $155,200 and CAD $232,800 per annual.However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
