About the Opportunity
- Placing and tracking purchase orders for raw materials, packaging supplies and ingredients,.
Maintain detailed records of purchase orders, supplier details, and delivery schedules
Resolve supplier-related issues
Coordinate inbound shipments to align with production timelines
Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment
Oversee relationships with transportation providers, negotiating competitive rates
Address logistics challenges, including delays, damages, or claims, to maintain operational continuity.
Maintain accurate shipment records, invoices, and proofs of delivery.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper storage / transportation standards.
Generate and share reports on purchasing, inventory, and logistics metrics to support organizational decision-making.
Assist with vendor qualification processes, ensuring all suppliers meet company standards and certifications.
Work closely with cross-functional teams such as production, quality assurance, and finance to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
About You
2+ years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain
Proficiency in inventory management systems (Sage) and intermediate Excel, comfortable in a manual environment
Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a very strong asset
Pay Range
26 - $34 / hour
