Hello! I'm Kathy, and I'm looking for a compassionate and responsible elder care provider to join us in Burnaby, British Columbia. I am seeking someone who can offer companionship as a live-out, part-time caregiver for my mother, Shirley, who is in an assisted living facility. I need someone to sit we her in the afternoons.
The role involves offering companionship, perhaps an occasional short walk and conversation. Mom has some dementia and having someone in the room helps her stay unstressed.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys spending time with seniors. We offer a competitive wage of $25 per hour for your dedication and expertise in making a difference in our family's life.
You would start as soon as possible. I want someone 5 or 6 afternoons per week. We would try 2-4 hours of companionship each afternoon depending on your availability. Mom is being assessed to move to a long-term care facility and so this job may only last 1-2 months.
