Your role with us :
Reporting to the Product Development Manager, the Project Engineer will create and grow relevant product offerings that improve the safety and efficiency of oilfield well construction. The Project Engineer, Product Development will advance new product ideas through the management and execution of design projects, contribute to all aspects of the development process, and develop an in-depth expert level technical knowledge of the products and of the basis for their designs.
You will bring to the role :
- Minimum 10 years of experience in design engineering roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering would be considered an asset.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (PEng) in the province of Alberta is required.
- Strong understanding and experience of SolidWorks.
- Experience using finite element analysis is an asset.
- Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment or strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly is preferred.
- Oil and gas industry experience is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation, time-management and organizational skills.
- Experience using API standards (with a focus on API 8C, RP 5B, 5L, 5CT, 7-1, 7-2) and / or ISO 9001 is an asset.
