Job description
InEight Estimating Program SpecialistThis role is focused on enabling and coaching estimating and project teams in the effective use of InEight Estimate and InEight Control. Acting as a trusted advisor, the role leverages practical estimating experience to guide teams in building high-quality, standardized estimates that support reliable cost control, forecasting, and execution.

This is not a hands-on estimating role—success is measured by the capability built within teams, the quality of estimate structures, and consistent adoption of InEight and Estimate Conformance practices.

What You Will Be Working On

InEight Estimating Coaching & Enablement (Primary Focus)

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in InEight Estimate and Control
  • Coach estimators and project teams on building, structuring, and maintaining estimates within InEight
  • Drive consistent adoption of standardized estimate structures and workflows
  • Identify gaps in usage and provide practical, hands-on guidance to improve estimate quality and system maturity

Estimate Conformance & Data Integrity

  • Coach teams on Estimate Conformance as a critical control process
  • Guide alignment between estimate structure, execution strategy, and reporting requirements
  • Promote strong data integrity and consistency to enable reliable forecasting and cost control

Field Guidance & Capability Building

  • Act as a trusted advisor to estimators and project teams, bringing real-world credibility
  • Reinforce estimating best practices through InEight-enabled workflows
  • Support teams in strengthening the link between estimate, execution, and performance tracking

Standardization & Continuous Improvement

  • Promote One Bird estimating standards and consistent use of InEight tools
  • Reduce reliance on spreadsheets and non-standard tools through coaching and system adoption
  • Capture field feedback to improve estimating practices, standards, and system effectiveness

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of construction estimating / cost development experience
  • Direct, hands-on experience with InEight Estimate (required)
  • Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting, and project execution
  • Proven ability to coach, influence, and drive adoption without direct authority
