We are currently seeking an IT Systems Data Analyst to join our IT Systems team. This role will support the organization by ensuring that systems, data flows, and reporting capabilities are accurate, efficient, and aligned with business needs. The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills to improve system performance, enhance data quality, and provide insights that support informed decision-making.
Requirements
Responsibilities
Systems Monitoring & Support
- Monitor system performance, availability, and data flows across multiple platforms
- Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution through IT support processes
- Document system configurations, integrations, workflows, and system changes
- Participate in system upgrades, testing cycles, and implementation of new features
- Provide technical support and guidance to ERP and enterprise system users
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, clean, validate, and maintain datasets from internal and external sources
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI
- Translate complex datasets into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Maintain and update system reports while ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Support data imports, exports, and integration troubleshooting
Systems Development & Integration
- Work with business units to identify ERP system requirements and improvements
- Analyze existing infrastructure and recommend system enhancements
- Write scripts or customized programs to support ERP functionality
- Design, implement, and test system updates
- Support system integrations, automation initiatives, and data transformation projects
Process Improvement & Project Support
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve data reliability
- Recommend improvements to systems, workflows, and reporting structures
- Support IT projects including planning, tracking deliverables, and documentation
- Maintain ERP versions, upgrades, and system documentation
- Promote best practices for system usage, data governance, and analytics
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS)
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, and data analysis
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries
- Experience using business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and systematic problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work under tight timelines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Assets
- Experience writing reports using tools such as Crystal Reports or SSRS
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, queries, advanced formulas)
- Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
- Project management experience
Software experience considered an asset:
2020 Insight, IMOS, SolidWorks, PDM, AutoCAD, Project Spec, Biesse Works, Microsoft 365 Applications, Crystal Reports, and Reporting Services.
