Job Title: Cable Assembler
Job Description
The Cable Assembler will work across multiple assembly stations to prepare, assemble, crimp, strip, and pot cable assemblies and electrical components. This role involves working with a variety of cable connectors, plastic and metal components, and following detailed process documents and schematics. The position requires strong attention to detail, precision, and patience when handling small parts while collaborating with a close-knit team on the production line.
Responsibilities
- Assemble cable and electrical components across several stations, including prepping, crimping, stripping, and potting operations.
- Work with a range of wire and cable connectors, as well as plastic and metal components, to build complete assemblies.
- Follow process documents, schematics, and drawings to assemble products accurately and consistently.
- Use crimping and cutting machines, hand tools, and measuring tape to cut, strip, and terminate wires to specified lengths and standards.
- Perform basic electrical and electronic assembly tasks in accordance with established procedures and quality requirements.
- Inspect work for accuracy, proper connections, and overall quality, making adjustments as needed to meet specifications.
- Collaborate with a small production team while working at an individual station as part of the overall assembly line.
- Cross-train on additional tasks and stations within the facility to support workflow and business needs.
- Complete assigned daily task lists and production orders within required timelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and handle tools and equipment responsibly.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on assembly experience, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Minimum of 6 months manufacturing labor experience.
- Experience with cable assembly, including crimping and cutting wire.
- Ability to work with wire and cable connectors and small components with precision and care.
- Basic electrical knowledge relevant to wiring and electrical assembly.
- Experience with electrical and electronic assembly tasks.
- Ability to read and follow process documents, drawings, and basic schematics.
- Comfort using measuring tape and basic hand tools for accurate measurement and cutting.
- Strong attention to detail and patience when working with small parts.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team on an assembly line while managing individual station tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Soldering experience in an electronics or electrical assembly environment.
- Prior experience in electronics assembly, including working with small electronic components.
- Experience operating cutting or crimping machines in a production setting.
- Willingness to cross-train on multiple tasks and stations within the facility.
- Ability to adapt to changing production priorities based on business needs.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, organized production facility designed to minimize noise and distractions. Each team member works at an individual station that forms part of a coordinated assembly line, fostering both independence and teamwork. The atmosphere is close-knit, positive, and friendly, with approximately 16 team members on the commercial team. Workers receive a daily list of tasks and follow drawings and process documents to complete orders on time. The standard shift runs Monday to Friday from 7:00 . to 3:30 . The position is planned for an initial period of about two months, with the opportunity to continue longer depending on business needs.
