Job description

Role:

Distribution Manager
Location: Surrey, BC
Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 per year
The Opportunity
Are you a seasoned leader who thrives on full operational ownership? We are seeking a high-energy Distribution Manager to take the helm of our Surrey facility and on-site team. As the primary decision-maker with no additional management layers on-site, you will be the driving force behind our operations, ensuring every product finds its way to our customers.
The Role
This isn't’t a "behind the desk" job. You are a hands-on leader who leads by example on the floor while maintaining a bird’s-eye view of operational flow. You will oversee a dedicated team of 18, managing everything from high-level financial forecasting to day-to-day fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of 18, fostering a culture of safety, inclusion, and high performance.
Operations: Oversee all branch fulfillment, ensuring business volumes are handled accurately, on time, and cost-effectively.
Strategy & Finance: Collaborate with divisional leaders to establish yearly budgets, quarterly forecasts, and analyze financial performance.
Logistics: Determine cost-effective shipping methods and logistics agreements for branch territories.
Collaboration: Provide operational insight during meetings and participate in annual divisional conferences to support business growth.
What You Bring
Experience: 5–7 years of proven experience as a Distribution Manager. (Note: This is a senior-level role; we are not seeking candidates at the Supervisor level).
Education: Post-secondary education is required.
Tech Savvy: Advanced MS Office skills. Experience with AS400, Salesforce, and Oracle Transportation (or similar systems) is a major asset.
Mindset: A proactive, "think-on-your-feet" approach to problem-solving and a commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Compliance: Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Why Join Us?
Work-Life Balance: 3 weeks’ vacation plus paid time off between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Future Planning: RRSP Program.
Perks: Generous employee discounts on company merchandise.
Autonomy: The opportunity to serve as the primary decision-maker for your site.
Ready to lead?
