Job description

Job Title: Pipefitter

Job Description

Join our team to work on a new construction plant project in British Columbia. This role involves traveling on a rotational schedule and requires field and/or modular yard work focused on the fabrication, layout, and installation of piping systems. We are looking for Journeyman tradespersons or 3rd-year Apprentices and above with hands-on experience. Candidates must be adept at bolt-up and flange torquing, and possess the ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and isometric drawings. You will be working in a large industrial construction environment, where safety and collaboration are key.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain existing piping systems.
  • Cut, thread, and weld pipes as required.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure system integrity and safety.
  • Adhere to relevant safety regulations and protocols.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards for a clean work environment.
  • Execute general tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • Actively support quality and safety programs.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in pipe fitting and installation.
  • Proficient in bolt-up and flange torquing.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and isometric drawings.
  • Journeyman or 3rd-year Apprentice level and above.
  • Field or modular yard experience with process piping.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with rigging and lifting.
  • Knowledge of hydrotesting and pressure testing.
  • Certified in AWP, Fall protection, CSO.

Work Environment

Work on a plant in British Columbia on a rotational basis of 14 days on and 7 days off, with 10-hour workdays from 7 AM to 5 PM. Overtime is available after 8 hours during weekdays and weekends. Housing and food are provided on site, ensuring a comfortable work environment.

The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $47.00/hr.
