As an OSP CBT Therapist, you will provide individual and group protocol-based structured psychotherapy to individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and anxiety-related conditions within their community and the Ontario West region. The OSP CBT Therapist will participate in regular clinical consultation to ensure high quality service delivery and adherence to the OSP Clinical Model.
The Hamilton Family Health Team (HFHT) is seeking a temporary (up to 18 months) full-time OSP CBT Therapist 1.0 FTE. The HFHT is actively committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and encourages applications from all qualified candidates.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group protocol-based structured psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and cognitive processing therapy (CPT), in alignment with OSP provincial model to individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and anxiety-related conditions.
- Actively incorporate anti-racist, anti-oppressive practices and principles in the delivery of client-centered, trauma-informed care at all levels of service.
- Work collaboratively with clients, family members, referral sources, community partners, and the OSP program’s network in the provision of accessible, equitable and inclusive care (e.g. interpretation services, culturally appropriate and relevant care, incorporating anti-racism and decolonizing approaches to care, considering social determinants of health and trauma-informed approaches).
- Contribute to ongoing program development and program evaluation and implement new practices as required.
Qualifications and Skills
Registered member in good standing with one of the five Colleges regulated to perform the Controlled Act of Psychotherapy in Ontario and who are regulated to practice the controlled act of psychotherapy :
Experience in the provision of mental health and / or addictions treatment (2-3 years preferred), including :
