Job Description
Are you a Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineer? Do you have experience as a project manager? This opportunity could be for you!
We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Project Engineering team and work in a multi-disciplinary role supporting Project NextGen based in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing multi-disciplined capital projects. From project concept development to project start-up, you will lead a team through all phases including scope definition, funding applications, detailed engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities. You will ensure projects are executed safely, in compliance with environmental regulations, within budget and schedule, and meet all technical, performance, and quality objectives.
Qualifications
- Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering Degree
- Prior experience in pulp & paper or other heavy industrial projects is an asset – New Graduates will be considered
- Ability to successfully execute within a team environment
- Ability to lead cross-functional project teams involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed cost-effectively, on time, reliably, and safely
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates ownership, initiative, attention to detail, and a drive to do things right the first time
- Above-average planning and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
