CAD75–CAD85 hourlyJob descriptionBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Professional Engineering license (P. Eng.) required. 5-8 years of electrical engineering experience, with 3-5 years in nuclear-related projects. Expertise in transformers and high-voltage switchyards projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Familiarity with industry codes and standards. Commitment to safety protocols. Security clearance with OPG and / or Bruce Power.
Electrical Engineer
Location : Bruce Power (100% on-site)
Per Diem : Yes, if eligible
Duration : 1 Year, can be extended annually
Hourly Rate : $75 - 85 / hour
Responsibilities :
- Design, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems with a focus on transformers and high-voltage switchyards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of components into projects.
- Provide technical expertise during planning, implementation, and maintenance phases.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, offering innovative solutions for enhanced systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations through active participation in reviews and audits.
- Generate detailed documentation for electrical schematics, diagrams, and reporting.
- Oversee testing and validation processes to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Collaborate with vendors to source quality components and equipment.
- Assess and improve existing systems for performance optimization and cost-effectiveness.
