Job description

About LK Apartments

LK Apartments is a modern, community-driven housing provider rooted in Waterloo—one of Canada's most innovative and dynamic cities. We're more than just a housing company; we design inclusive, thoughtfully crafted communities where residents can truly thrive.

Our story began by supporting students and young professionals seeking modern, well-located housing. As we've grown, so has our purpose. Today, we proudly serve a diverse range of residents, including professionals and families looking for vibrant, connected communities to call home. Our expansion across Ontario reflects our commitment to building communities, not just buildings, with every location carrying the spirit of Waterloo: innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability.

  • Operate, monitor, and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC equipment and related systems
  • Conduct daily preventative maintenance activities, including inspections of garbage chutes, storage areas, boiler rooms, and secured entry and exit points
  • Ensure maintenance issues are resolved in a timely manner and in accordance with work order requests
  • Order supplies and materials as required, retaining receipts and submitting documentation to the Property Manager
  • Track and itemize materials purchased, assigning costs to the appropriate unit or project
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours emergencies, including maintenance issues, lockouts, and other urgent matters
  • Perform other duties as required to support property operations

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including on-call rotations as required
