Minimum Qualifications

  • Red Seal License or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Possess own set of tools
  • Comfortable working outdoors in any season
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment requiring frequent / constant standing, bending, crouching etc.
  • Ability to cope with regular hazards in a construction environment – inclement weather, dust, noise etc.
  • Ability to sit, stand or drive more than 90 minutes per day
  • Ability to perform effective verbal and written instructions
  • Have a valid driver’s license, with a clean driving abstract
  • Certified license is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Road side service experience
  • Experience with diagnostic software and electronic document / time keeping
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and mechanically sound truck
  • Perform circle checks
  • To service and repair paving / heavy equipment, including hydraulics and electrical
  • Perform Inspections on all equipment
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and Work order procedures
  • Working near / on construction sites
  • Day in the Life

    You will be the backbone of our fleet, responsible for servicing and maintaining all of our equipment, including light vehicles, heavy trucks and equipment, hydraulics, electrical and heavy power trains. Each day will be different as some service calls are off site or require emergency on-road repairs requiring you to diagnose and rectify the problem. Preventative and predictive maintenance will be important to stay on top of, as well as daily service documentation to ensure overall organization of the shop.

    Safety will always be your number one priority as you promote, lead, and execute a safety-first culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants. Your opinion will be valued as you assist in decision making for any outside repairs to the equipment as well as support for overall general shop maintenance. You will be an essential part of our team ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently, like a well-oiled machine.
