Work Model: Remote (Monthly travel to New Brunswick required)
Role Overview
The Department of Health (DoH), New Brunswick is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Digital Assets to lead and deliver complex digital health initiatives as part of a large-scale healthcare transformation program.
This role will focus on managing the integration, implementation, and optimization of clinical digital assets aligned with a Clinical Information System (CIS) to improve clinical workflows, standardize healthcare practices, and enhance access to health information across the province.
The Project Manager will collaborate with healthcare providers, government stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure successful project execution from planning through post go-live support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of digital health projects aligned with CIS transformation initiatives
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, timelines, and dependencies
- Create resource allocation plans and ensure proper utilization of project resources
- Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID logs)
- Coordinate system integration, testing, and implementation activities
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and reporting requirements
- Provide regular project status updates to leadership and stakeholders
- Collaborate with health authorities, government teams, vendors, and technical resources
- Support healthcare workflow transformation through digital solutions
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
Mandatory Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following:
- Health Informatics
- Information Technology
- Information Management
- Public Administration
- Business Administration
OR equivalent education combined with relevant healthcare IT/digital health experience.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience in digital health within Canadian healthcare environments
- Minimum 7 years of experience working in healthcare settings
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar healthcare transformation projects
- Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, and execution
- Strong background in risk and issue management
- Experience with governance reporting and stakeholder communication
- Hands-on experience with project tools such as:
- JIRA
- Microsoft Project
- Confluence
- Microsoft Office 365
Preferred Experience
- Experience delivering:
- Clinical Information Systems (CIS) implementations
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) projects
- Digital asset integration initiatives
- Healthcare workflow transformation programs
- Experience managing complex dependencies across multiple healthcare systems
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in large-scale programs

- Experience working with clinicians, vendors, and government stakeholders
- Knowledge of healthcare integration standards such as HL7 and FHIR
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
