Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) – Casual Procedural Clinic | Windsor, ON

HealthOPM is currently seeking an experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our casual staffing roster for an outpatient procedural clinic in Windsor, Ontario.

This is an excellent opportunity for RPNs with experience in interventional or procedural settings who are looking for flexible, as-needed work.

Position Details

• Position: Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
• Location: Windsor, ON
• Employment Type: Casual / On-Call
• Pay Rate: $32.00–$35.00/hour (based on experience)
• Shift Notice: Approximately 1–2 days' notice as clinic coverage is required
• Training: Candidates must be available to attend training before shift starts

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and complete pain-related assessments
• Perform focused patient assessments and review medical history
• Initiate IV access and prepare patients for procedures
• Initiate and maintain IV access
• Assist physicians during image-guided and interventional procedures
• Support sterile setup and patient positioning
• Monitor patient vital signs throughout procedures
• Provide post-procedure monitoring, discharge instructions, and patient education
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation
• Follow all clinical, safety, infection prevention, and radiation safety protocols where applicable

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in a procedural or interventional clinical setting
• Strong IV insertion and patient monitoring skills
• Experience with procedural sedation monitoring is an asset
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient procedural environment

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following settings:

• Fluoroscopy
• Interventional Pain Clinic
• Endoscopy
• Interventional Radiology
• Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Operating Room (OR)
