Job description
We are seeking an Intermediate Software Developer with 5–7 years of experience to join our team. This role is a hybrid of high-quality Java/Spring Boot development and critical L2/L3 production support. You will be responsible for building secure, scalable REST APIs while ensuring the stability of mission-critical systems through incident triage, root-cause analysis (RCA), and performance tuning. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can translate complex requirements into production-ready code within an Agile framework.

Pay Rate: $450.02-$487.39/Diem

Advantages
- Full-Stack Exposure: Work across the entire SDLC, from initial requirement gathering to post-implementation support and change management.

- Emerging Tech: Gain practical experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns and AI-backed service integration.

- Strategic Location: Work onsite at a central hub, fostering direct collaboration with high-performing cross-functional teams.

- Mission-Critical Impact: Support and scale enterprise-level applications that provide essential services to the public.

Responsibilities
- Service Development: Build and maintain secure Java services and REST APIs using Spring Boot (Java 11+).

- Integration & Security: Ensure reliable system-to-system communication using REST and SOAP protocols; integrate external and AI-backed services securely.

- Database Management: Design schemas and optimize complex SQL queries (Oracle/PostgreSQL) to support data-driven application features.

- Quality Assurance: Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito; participate in rigorous code reviews.

- Production Support: Triage L2/L3 incidents, adhere to SLAs, and perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

- DevOps & CI/CD: Contribute to automated deployment pipelines using Git, Docker, and Jenkins; support automated diagnostics and health checks.

- AI-Assisted Development: Leverage tools like GitHub Copilot or Azure OpenAI to enhance coding productivity and quality.

Qualifications
- Java/Spring Mastery: 5–7 years of progressive experience in Java SE/EE, Spring Boot, and n-tier enterprise application design.

- API Expertise: Extensive experience designing and supporting REST and SOAP APIs with advanced validation and error handling.

- Database Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Oracle design concepts, including schema design and performance tuning.

- Support & Operations: Proven track record in Production Support & Incident Management, including runbook usage and SLA compliance.

- DevOps Fundamentals: Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git branching strategies, and containerization basics (Docker).

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for collaborating with architects, BAs, and product owners in Agile sprints.

Summary
If you are an Intermediate Developer who excels at solving technical puzzles and building robust, data-driven Java applications, we encourage you to apply today!

Only qualified candidates will be contacted for the next steps. We look forward to hearing from you.
