OTE Developer Tasks
1. Gathering Requirements
• Collaborate with Business Analysts (BAs) to refine business requirements and review document designs.
• Provide PDF samples for Functional Specification Design (FSD) documents.
• Create Proof of Concepts (POCs) for complex requirements to assess feasibility.
• Attend BA walkthroughs to clarify OTE logic/design.
• Contribute to defining testing acceptance criteria.
2. Development (Design, Integration, Output)
• Use Exstream Designer, Design Manager, and Empower to create/update templates.
• Develop code as needed for document generation.
• Apply rules, variables, and conditional logic to personalize documents.
• Handle data formats including XML, JSON, Delimited, and Columnar.
• Handle output formats including PDF, AFP, and Email.
• Configure 2-pass processing, bundling, sorting, and search keys.
• Edit DOCX/RTF for dynamic wording in OTE Import.
• Develop code as needed to consume system data and print according to template/document design (Risk details, coverages, premiums, etc.).
3. Unit Testing & Migration
• Conduct unit and regression testing.
• Migrate PUB changes via SourceTree to BitBucket after successful testing.
4. Command Center
• Knowledge of Command Center (CC) to fetch payloads and modify/run jobs.
5. Code Review & Production Deployment
6. Production Validation
• Validate PUBs in BitBucket versus deployed PUBs.
• Confirm deployed resource components.
• Validate Policy Form patterns on Production server.
